Biography
I started my working life as a Technical Assistant whose main duties was to assist the Engineer in upgrading television decoder boxes for hotels. The hotel that I was tasked to was Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore and it was an exciting stint for me as I was able to “view” the various rooms and suites that were avaliable in the hotel but the main draw was the nice buffett spread that was catered for free to all the staff of the hotel everyday.
After this short part time stint, I was then enlisted for national service with the Singapore Armed Forces. These 2 years and four months were one of the toughest times of my life thus far both physically and mentally as I was taken out of the comfort zone I had grown acustomed over the four years I had spent in Toowoomba, Australia and thrown into the strict and tough life of the military. However, it was kinda fruitful for me as I had made a wide range of friends with a couple of whom I still am in contact with.
Straight after national service, I joined the field of insurance where I was trained in the various financial products that the company had as well as increased my knowledge on financial products and the inner workings of financial instituition. Without this exposure, I would most likely be one of the many people of this world who would not have any clue on financial products and how to position myself in the varying financial situtations. Therefore, through this blog, I’ll attempt to shed some light on this area and hopefully will be able to empower my readers in making sound financial decisions.
